BOGDANA ORĂSEANU

Bogdana has accumulated a wealth of professional experience in over 25 years of legal practice, including 24 years as a judge and court of appeal judge. Over the last years of her judicial career, she was also a judicial inspector and director of the Inspection Directorate for Judges of the Judicial Inspection.

With a double specialisation in criminal and labour law, Bogdana has also acquired a solid experience in other matters such as civil, family law, the legal regime of misdemeanours, asylum and refugee protection, pensions and other social security rights, international judicial cooperation in criminal matters, the case law of the European Court of Human Rights for the application of the criminal, civil, labour, criminal procedure and civil procedure codes, the relevant case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the Constitutional Court and the High Court of Cassation and Justice.

As a judicial inspector in the Judicial Inspectorate, Bogdana’s responsibilities included the work and conduct of judges, as well as the analysis and management control of courts throughout the country.

A law graduate of the University of Bucharest Law School, Bogdana also holds a Master degree in criminal procedure. She is acknowledged by the legal community both for her professional skills and experience and for her abilities such as leadership, flexibility and adaptability, commitment and results orientation.
