Prof. Dr. Achilles C. Emilianides has been a practicing advocate for more than 20 years. He has professional experience in hearings before the Supreme Court of Cyprus, Supreme Constitutional Court, Court of Appeal, District Courts etc. on civil and commercial law cases, constitutional and administrative law cases etc. Moreover, he has experience in cases before the Family Courts and the Industrial Disputes Tribunals, criminal law cases, quasi-judicial organs such as the Protection of Competition Authority, the Tenders Review Authority, and the Radiotelevision Authority, the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights, as well as arbitration tribunals.

Prof. Emilianides is a Professor and Dean of the School of Law of the University of Nicosia. He has been elected as President of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts, the highest academic and intellectual institution in Cyprus, and as an Ordinary Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts Prof. Dr. Achilles C. Emilianides scientific work has been taught in universities in Cyprus and abroad and has been cited by Cypriot and foreign courts.
