Elisa Calu is a trainee lawyer, a member of the Bucharest Bar since 2024 and a 2024 graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest. She continued her academic studies at the same faculty, completing a Master’s Degree Programme in Criminal Sciences in 2025.

Her interest in criminal law and litigation developed throughout her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, as well as through internships with courts and prosecutors’ offices in Bucharest. During this period, Elisa gained practical insight into judicial proceedings through legal and case-law research, case-file analysis, drafting procedural documents and preparing documentation for court proceedings.

Her academic background also includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), completed in 2023. Her undergraduate thesis addressed criminal offences under the Criminal Code related to the exercise of public office, while her Master’s research focused on criminal profiling and its usefulness and limitations in identifying and apprehending serial offenders.

Elisa currently practises as a trainee lawyer, with a particular professional interest in criminal law and litigation, while also developing her experience in civil law and business law matters.
