Cristian Mares coordinated Mares / Danilescu / Mares dispute resolution team that rendered assistance and representation to FCC Construcción SA, in the second appeal filed by a main subcontractor against the Spanish group.

On December 6, 2012, the High Court of Cassation and Justice affirmed the decision of the Bucharest Court of Appeal that had rejected the annulment claim of the subcontractor against an arbitral award rendered by the Arbitral Tribunal of the Court of International Commercial Arbitration of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This arbitration, deriving from an important infrastructure contract with an overall value of app. Euro 20,000,000, dates back in 2010, when the Arbitral Tribunal partially admitted the arbitration claim of the subcontractor and compelled FCC Construcción SA to pay the amount admitted as due and not the claimed one .
